It was only time I shared my spring makeup essentials. Spring for me is a season of renewal and change, and where better to start than with my makeup bag? Think light bases and a finish that glows brighter than the sun. If you’re curious to know what my spring makeup essentials this year are, then this post is for you!
RCMA no colour powder. If you haven’t hear of this before you’ve been living under a rock. This translucent powder sets my under eye concealer perfectly and I even use a tiny bit of this to prevent oil in my T Zone and it works brilliantly. If you’ve never tried it before, you need too!
Bourjois healthy mix foundation. I tried this for the first time in this video and I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s a lightweight formula that covers well whilst also blending out effortlessly. The new formula is a great advancement on the previous version of this concealer and it’s definitely a spring must have.
Bourjois 123 perfect CC cream. If you were subscribed to my blog/YouTube channel since last year then you’ll know this has been a favourite of mine throughout spring and summer and this year is no exception. You’d think as a CC cream it would be sheer in coverage but I’d say it is more medium coverage and extremely build-able. This is my 3rd tube of this CC cream and I’ll continue re-purchasing this for a lightweight base. I also have this in a darker shade so it’s perfect when I tan.
MAC face and body foundation. Again another favourite of mine since 2015. This is my go-to if my freckles have come out as it provides a sheer colour to your skin, giving a natural dewy base. I use this when I’m pale and it looks so natural. I don’t feel like this is hyped as much as it’s worth and always makes its way back into my every day staples come spring.
Benefit Hoola. This is a product that is hyped so much but worth every positive review. The colour is a gorgeous warm brown without looking too muddy or orange on the face. I love using this to both contour and bronze the face and looks really lovely when I have a tan.
Makeup Revolution blush in ‘nude’. This is a lovely pink/coral colour that adds a lovely flush of colour to your cheeks. I am not usually a massive blush fan, but there is something about spring that makes me want to add a subtle pink/coral/peach flush to the apples of my cheeks. This blush can be sheer (which I love) whilst being buildable to help you reach the desired colour.
Beauty Blender. I use this across the board for all of my makeup steps. It’s my holy grail in my collection and I couldn’t live without it. Simple.
MAC soft and gentle. I bought this highlighter after reading numerous reviews about this being the perfect highlight. It’s not as intense as others in my collection, but it’s perfect for every day. The trick with this is applying it with your fingers to the tops of your cheeks and it doesn’t look too heavy. This is definitely my most reached for highlighter this season.
Real Techniques concealer brush. This is my ultimate favourite brush for sculpting out my brows with concealer and it’s a great product at the affordable price. It’s perfectly dense so you can be very precise with it and it blends well too. A must have in my makeup bag!
Soap and Glory archery in ‘blonde’. This is my must-have in my collection and after trying high end eyebrow pencils, I much prefer this than those. The blonde colour is the perfect mix of colour – not too warm, not too cool. If you have blonde brows and struggling to find the perfect pencil, you need to try this next.
Benefit gimme brow in shade 1. I have loved using this lately since getting my eyebrows tinted as it makes them look fuller with the tiny fibres in the product. I really love the colour of this and it helps brows look bushier than ever before. This is just a sample of the gimme brow, but I’ll definitely be purchasing the larger one when this runs low.
NYX tinted brow mascara. This is the lightest shade available and I love this for setting my brows. This also adds a lighter tint to my brows. Whilst my hair is all over blonde, I feel like my brows can sometimes look a little too harsh, so this just brings them down a shade and it makes me feel so much more comfortable. Couldn’t live without it!
So Eco spoolie brush. I live for this brush for not only brushing my brows up to life them, but also to brush through my eyelash extensions and this works brilliantly.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my spring makeup essentials – these products really are my ride or die during this season. I’d love to know which products you’ve been loving recently, leave me a comment below with your recommendations!
