My controversial uni experience

This is definitely a much more personal post than my usual but a topic I have a real opinion about. I write this after completing my second year, two thirds completed in about £30,000 so far. I had always wanted to go to Uni, but on reflection I’m not too sure if this was because I wanted too or because of the expectation of going to Uni from College is the expected. I remember being in my tutor group and those not going through UCAS were told not to bother coming in as what we’ll do is pointless to them, so you were blacklisted as a result. This pressure to continue studies was one definitely pushed on everyone and I believed if I didn’t go, I’d be a let down and an outcast. H&M nude eye shadow palette review

Whilst H&M was having 20% off for students with the UNiDAYS app, I just couldn’t resist a mini haul! I wasn’t going to blog about what I got but I picked up a H&M nude eye shadow as I was looking at their make-up and something urged me to put it in my basket along with an eye shadow brush to accompany my new buy. The H&M nude eye shadow palette jumped out at me as a really nice nude set of soft shimmer colours, not too full on, but perfect for every day wear. I am a sucker for nude make-up and so I decided to give it a try at only £3.99, minus the 20% off. Total bargain, but would it be any good? You’ll be pleasantly surprised if you keep reading!

Barry M contour kit review

If you’ve not heard the wonders of contouring, where have you been? Kim Kardashian made us all lust over her chiselled cheeks and sharp jawline and her secrets have been revealed in the shape on the power of a great contour and I just had to try it all out. I was so stuck as to which to try, so many people had rated the Sleek, Smashbox, Seventeen, Barry M and Anastasia Sets but as I was undecided if it’d work for me I went with the Barry M contour kit with the intention to invest in a high end palette if it works wonders. Released on the 11th of Febraury in UK stores, this is a new product that people are really raving about and so I decided I’d share with you my experience and hope it helps you get the best contour possible.

Worth the hype? Soap & Glory archery brow tint & precision shaping pencil

When Boots had their infamous 3 for 2 offer across make up, I couldn’t not pick this Soap & Glory archery pencil to try. I’ve been searching for a brow product that will help me achieve natural looking brows whilst giving them more shape and depth and this had been raved about for such a long time by make-up lovers that for £10 I decided to give it a go. I’ve been using it for about a month and so are able to let you all know my verdict on whether I think the Soap & Glory archery dupe is worth the hype.
