It’s finally here… #BlondeAmyRelaunch! I am so excited to share with you all the redesign of my blog and what’s in store for Blonde Amy. I always like refreshing things and I wanting a design that felt more ‘me’ after having my old look for about a year. I knew exactly what I wanted to do to improve the look and feel of my blog and how I want it to flourish beyond its current state so be sure to keep reading to find out exactly what I have done and my plans for the future of Blonde Amy (spoiler – it’s going to be extremely exciting!).
What have I improved?
Other than getting a brand new look (which I’m loving), I have spent almost 40 hours in the past few days improving everything including my blogs SEO – which I can write a post up all about if you want more information. My images at the start were never titled and were simply called from the cameras defaults such as ‘DSC105_456’ or something, you want to rename these relating to the product/post as this is how you get your images on google relating to the product. That’s right, I went back on every single image ever uploaded to my blog and it took f-o-r-e-v-e-r, but it is so worth it! I can’t wait to see how these changes effect my blogs traffic and page views. I have also changed the different advertising packs I have to offer, so if you are a blogger/small business looking to advertise on my blog then don’t hesitate to visit my advertising page for more information. If you are a brand looking to collaborate I also have more information in the way I work and collaborations I have already had on my PR page. I also have set up a contact email address for my blog at email@example.com which is much more professional than my personal address and is a way of keeping business and personal emails separate which means my response time will be much quicker.
What is to come?
Not only do I have many amazing collaborations coming up to share with you all (which has been so hard to keep quiet!) I am also going to be starting my own YouTube channel where my blog is going to expand further. I have set my channel up here and would love to check it out/subscribe before I release my first video, this seems like the natural expansion for my blog and I’m so excited to start it up when all my equipment has arrived (being a media student means you become very particular). My posts will remain as frequent as you are all used too and when I finish uni I hope to make them more frequent.
I always find it is important to refresh things and a fresh look was something I was looking to do for a while. My theme is from pipdig where I worked with them to get it exactly how I wanted it and couldn’t recommend them enough. Phil was very quick to respond to emails and ensure everything was perfect. I also wanted to add a thanks to both all of my new and old followers for your ongoing support – without you all my blog would not be what it is today, so thank you, and I can’t wait to share with you everything I have planned in the upcoming months – I really love you all so much.
