5 Reasons I’m Excited For October

5 reasons i'm excited for October

It’s no secret than October has been the one month I’ve been looking most forward too this year. I’ve had countdowns on my phone for events all being a few days & weeks between each other so let me explain why I’m so excited that this month has finally arrived!

#1 | 12th – 26th – Annual Leave From Work.
Having booked of two weeks from work for the events lines up, I shreeked with excitement as my boss gave it the heads up. Having done full time hours over the summer, it’s going to be lovely to not be working and to enjoy everything lined up!

#2 | 13th – 20th – Tenerife!
If you’re a regular reader of my blog, or for that matter follow me on ANY social media platform you will know just how excited I am to jet off to the sunny island of Tenerife. This is a birthday present from my boyfriend and having booked it in March, all we have down is count down the days until we can be sitting my a beach sipping cocktails in the sun. I haven’t been on holiday since 2011 and this has been a long time coming AND I’M JUST SO EXCITED!

#3 | 14th – My 21st!
I can’t believe I’m going to be turning 21 this month but oh boy am I excited to be celebrating it with my loved one on holiday. We have so much planned for our trip, including a trip to my favourite water park Siam Park, and I’m so fortunate to have a 21st birthday like this as I’ll never forget it.

#4 | 24th – Birthday Night Out.
I am actually one of those uni students that you won’t see much out in clubs getting drunk (mainly because to do so in London costs around £50 and takes forever to get home on a night bus!) but I’m not letting my 21st escape without a crazy night to remember with friends. I’m hoping to bring friends from Devon and London together so we can go somewhere like Ministry of Sound. That’d be so much fun.

#5 | 30th – Halloween!
This is something myself and Molli have been so excited for. I love a good excuse to dress up and go out and what’s better than Halloween? Anything with face paint has my full attention. London has such an amazing atmosphere over Halloween weekend and I can’t wait to use our student status to make the most of our final Halloween together whilst at Uni.

So much excitement for such a little month, I can’t believe it’s all so close. Not only these amazing events, but I love everything autumn from it getting dark earlier, yankee candles alight and jumpers and jeans at the ready.

Have you got any events lined up for October? What’s your favourite month in the year? Let me know!

Amy x
